Rosberg collects Championship trophy and Retires? What?

It is a total surprise, to all the fans of Formula 1. I did not expect to see Nico Rosberg announce his retirement so early. Even though he is a father and has a wife. There is no reason given by the driver as yet as to the decision. But one can guess, he may want to have a family time like Schumacher did and return to the fraternity later on.

Just less than a week after securing that crucial podium finish in Abu Dhabi,Mercedes' Nico Rosberg lifted the world championship trophy on Friday evening, at FIA's annual Prize Giving Gala in Vienna.

Daniel Ricciardo was also in attendance at Friday's star-studded ceremony. Max Verstappen and Daniel were the only non-Mercedes drivers to win a Grand Prix this year, which is quite interesting.

The FIA Action of the year prize was given to the apt person of the drivers. Max Verstappen who is I believe the god of wet racing. For his move in the Brazilian Grand Prix on Rosberg for second.

This kid deserves this prize. He may use tricks of Senna, waving the car at the right time and close the gap. This kind of racing was just not there since the massive commercialization of the sport and the team emphasis on 'taking the car home'. There were no such moves in the recent memory at all.

Soon after that Formula One racing's governing body, the FIA, has formally ratified a 20-race calendar for the 2017 season following a meeting of its World Moter Sport Council in Vienna.

The calendar does not include Germany, I don't know why? the home of all the racing does not want to conduct races.

This season there will be 5 back to back racing weekends. This time the Monaco was not in May but in June. But this season Monaco will be on May 28, the possible decision may be to avoid rain.
